Electronic Database and Information Centre (EDIC)

EDIC (Electronic Database and Information Center) is a unit which provides internet to all the faculties, divisions, units of Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST). The main function of EDIC is to trobuleshoot issues regarding e-mails, provide proper internet facility, regular up-todate of NAST's website, and solve any problems related to internet. Following are the main functions of EDIC:

• Install and configure software and hardware
• Manage all the servers
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
• Troubleshoot issues and outages
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
• Manage and update official website
