पवन कुमार न्यौपाने

Pawan Kumar Neupane is an environmental researcher currently servingas the Senior Scientific Officer at the Nepal Academy of Science andTechnology (NAST). His research focuses on natural resource andwatershed management, environmental modeling, climate change,groundwater, ecosystem-based adaptation, urban environment andenvironmental policy. Mr. Neupane holds a Master’s degree inEnvironmental Science with distinction from Tribhuvan University (2009).His career spans a variety of roles in natural resources research,environmental pollution, and climate change knowledge management.Notably, he has contributed to several key projects, including those with the Ministry of Forestsand Environment, Government of Nepal, Kathmandu Valley Development Authority (KVDA),Government of Nepal, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Climate and Development KnowledgeNetwork (CDKN) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and has beeninvolved in various outreach and climate change adaptation initiatives across Nepal. In addition to his academic and professional roles, he has actively contributed to numerous
publications, focusing on climate change vulnerability assessments, air pollution, and groundwater modeling. His work has appeared in national and international journals, and he has authored and edited multiple books and reports on climate change and environmentalconservation. He is also a seasoned trainer and facilitator, having participated in numerousworkshops and training sessions on climate change, environmental science, and sustainability.He is also a member of the scientific community, with memberships in various organizationssuch as the Association of Global Groundwater Scientists (India), Bhaktapur Environmental Conservation Forum (Nepal), and the Environmental Conservation Awareness and ResearchFoundation (EnCARF-Nepal). His dedication to research and education continues to shape environmental policy and action in Nepal.
